RadioActive’s first TV station and Cameroon’s first community-based TV station was Millennium TV, brainchild of Hon. Cyprian Awudu Mbaya, MP for Nkambe/Ndu Constituency and Questor at the National Assembly of Cameroon.
Millennium TV provides entertainment, news and current affairs programming in English, Pidgin and many local languages spoken in the area. It was set up with a small budget, but sufficient to have a main TV studio and a news studio.
Many people in the area have a TV, but don’t have the funds for satellite channels, so they are limited to watching the National TV station, which is limited in terms of its appeal. Millennium TV will offer a range of programming tailored to people living in the area, promoting local culture, local issues and local events.

Thanks to all of the wonderful staff at Millennium, the TV producers who came out to train up the new staff, including James, Matt, Annabel and Carol, and the lovely people of Nkambe for hosting us.
