Radio Platform

Overview

Radio Platform is a youth-led radio station supporting young people to
produce and present their own live radio shows, based in the Wales
Millennium Centre in Cardiff.

About the project

The station is a hub for young people looking to start their own radio
show, meet new people or gain new skills.  100s of young people have
started their first radio show at Radio Platfom since it started in
2015.  As well as receiving accredited training there’s also the
opportunity to receive hands-on experience with professional mentors
from within the broadcast media.  Listen live at

Main Objectives

The platfform gives young people the chance to have their
voices heard through their own radio programmes whilst creating great
content and developing key broadcast skills in the process.

Our Role

Radioactive have been providing technical assistance and equipment to
Radio Platform since 2015.  We recently supplied and installed their
second studio in WMC and a brand new studio at the Factory in Porth.
